AV Fistula is a Life line for a kidney patient on Hemodialysis. It is a connection made surgically of the vein and artery in the forearm to help ease the process of dialysis. It is done under Local anesthesia and is a day care surgery. The usual life span of a fistula is 5 to 7 years.
