Hair transplant is a surgical procedure used to treat hair loss or baldness. The procedure involves taking hair follicles from a donor area, typically the back or sides of the head, and transplanting them to the balding or thinning areas of the scalp. There are two main techniques for hair transplantation: follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and follicular unit extraction (FUE). FUT involves removing a strip of skin from the donor area and dissecting it into individual follicular units for transplantation, while FUE involves extracting individual follicular units directly from the scalp. Recovery time after the procedure is generally a few days, with full results visible after nine months.
