Tuberous breasts, also known as tubular breasts or breast hypoplasia, is a congenital condition where the breasts fail to fully develop during puberty, resulting in a narrow, elongated shape with a large areola and a high breast crease. This can cause self-consciousness and difficulties with breastfeeding. Treatment options for tuberous breasts typically involve breast augmentation surgery, which can involve inserting implants or using the patient’s own tissue to reshape and enlarge the breast. Depending on the severity of the condition, additional surgeries such as breast lift or reduction may also be necessary. It’s important to consult with a our plastic surgeon to determine the best course of treatment for each individual case.
