Dermoids
Dermoids are rare types of benign tumors that can occur in children. They are typically found near the eyes or forehead, but can also occur in other areas of the body. Dermoids are usually present at birth and are caused by the abnormal growth of tissue. Treatment options for dermoids depend on the location and size of the tumor, as well as the child’s age and overall health. Surgical removal is the most common treatment option for dermoids for complete removal and prevention of recurrence. However, if the tumor is small and not causing any problems, it may not require treatment. It’s important to consult with a plastic surgeon to determine the best course of treatment for each individual case.
